Opinion of Jung's sexual theories?

I've started studying Jung and I'm particularly struck by his notions of the anima/animus. The feminine within the masculine and the masculine within the feminine. As I turn the theory around in my mind, countless flaws jump out at me... but still I find it so interesting to ponder. *nods* I also experience myself as not entirely on a male/female spectrum. Even when I behave in ways considered stereotypically male, which doesn't happen often I think, I don't experience myself as masculine or some embodyment of a masculine image. I imagine most people don't perceive their own sexuality in the same way they perceive it in others. It leads me to believe the male/female arcehtypes don't have anything to do with actually performing the actions charactarized as male or female. Rather, the archetypes may exist only in recognizing those traits...

I'm still pondering it...
