[Mara waited for midnight before she left the house. As badly as she wanted to be there for Ken, she knew he would want her to make sure Euphie didn't go anywhere. But as soon as that clock finished striking midnight she was out the door and heading towards the hospital, looking for Ken. As badly as she hated being at that hospital, all the conflicting feelings it gave her Reaper senses, she'd gotten used to it from her consulting jobs. It also meant that she knew where they were likely to be and one quick check with the nurses confirmed it.]

[She'd find Ken outside Aya's room, pacing as he usually did when he was pretty much useless and antsy. It didn't really help his mood, but it gave his body something to do to vent all that nervous energy that he couldn't just use on someone nearby.]

[She doesn't say anything, she just walks up to him and wraps her arms around him, holding him tight.]

[For a moment, he stays tense as if still ready for a fight, but it doesn't last long. Sure enough, a good deal of that tension bleeds away as soon as he raises his arms to curl around her.]
