Power came up yesterday afternoon.

Car got fucked up on the way home.

Car got fixed this morning.

We lost all our groceries in the fridge and freezer.

Paid car taxes and registration.

Still need to buy new groceries.

At least I'm home.

Fair split on bad to good, more info later when I have half a brain to spare.

Yeah, our county has lumped renewing your registration in with paying taxes on your vehicle (luxury tax, I think, since we have to pay every year). It sucks.

The taxes actually were more than the repairs were today. Go figure.

I am not meant to have frozen food, it seems. Or refrigerated food either...

Yeah, I'll post the list of loss on my LJ once I actually get done with the claim for the insurance company.

The foods, they are not for me.

That's what you get for trying to, ya know, plan that far ahead ;-). In contrast, for the party we had a couple weekends ago, we were putting extra beverages outside when we ran out of fridge space (but had to be careful to not let it freeze) - of course, we lost power when the weather was much warmer... Yay more insurance claims, eh? :-|
