I've been around long enough to realize that you and Colty live a good bit off the beaten path....

Do you ever feel isolated from the rest of the furry world?

What are the pluses and minuses of living many, many miles from a big city?

Yup, were a ways away. Fresno Ca, is 70 miles away, and even further from the furs. There are apperantly quite a fiew of gatherings in fresno, but my job schedule, and driving distance seems to end most attempts at doing things fun. I dont feel too isolated, as I have always been sorta a shy hoss, was used to being allone for a long time. (Im also not too much for going to parties to play vid games).
My only wish for living out here was that the neighbors were farther away. It isnt quite isolated enough to me. I mean hauling a cart around the yard in suit(Or out) would probably get us shot. and unfortunately they can see right into the yard :( I do love the quiet(As compared to any city) and the crime is still non existant as compared to freshell. Im good for visiting the city for about a day. After that I start to loose my sanity.(What little I have left)

It's been 5 years for us.... what's your favorite memory of you and I? Do you have a time you've been glad I've been here? Have you ever found yourself wishing I was here while I was away on vacation or business?

I think my fav memory of us is going camping in big sur.It was a nice escape, albeit too short. Im always glad that you are here, as you keep me sane, and happy. Im extra happy that you were here when I decided to cut my hand off:p.
Most of the time your away I miss you. And as expected it gets worse the more your away. Huggles ya.

Im an engineer/fireman/mechanic, for a small tourist railroad. Its a steam operated railroad that runs down the canyon to a dead end, and back. I do so wish it went some distance, but alass, its a 4 mile round trip that takes about 1 hour. The steam locos, are geared for pulling steap grades, and very heavy loads(Old logging locos)(most mainline steam locos that run on flat ground cant pull over a 2.5% grade,some macados (msp) can do 4.5%.. THe Shays we run can pull up to a 14%, tho very slowly (Our steepest grade is 12%, tho only for 100' or so. (Average grade here is 4 ( ... )

Ooohhh! You'd get on very well with fallowbuck; who helps out on the Watercress line in Wiltshire.

I spent 2 years in engineering at a hospital, so Im framilliar with what you have to put up with :p

Aye..I'm sure you are. :D The stories at my place just get better and better. The new hospital build at Pontefract is now complete, and has been handed over to us for occupancy. In the foyer there is a security desk, which is all enclosed and has a two way mirror, so the security team can see out, but the public cannot see in....or at least it would have worked that way had the contractors not installed the two way mirror the wrong way round....classic. You couldn't write it.
