There are some very rabid Rose fans out there, and they seem to be the ones I come across more often than not. It's true, though, that I've never quizzed them on their fashion sense.

I like Rose, but her fashion sense is rather dreadful. Waaay too much make-up too.

I dunno, it just seems to me that Buffy needs someone to ground her, and that Xander would be the best person to do that. Even in "The Pack", the bit at the end where Giles lies for him and he walks away indicated to me that it was going somewhere.

My head knows that too much else has happened since then, but my heart cannot help but hold a tiny OTP torch.

I think ultimately Buffy needs someone that is "different" or "special" like her, who understands what it would be like to live with such a gift/burden. Xander would be able to try but unfortunately, he just isn't capable of understanding her on that level, IMHO. But yeah... I saw some possibility in the beginning too!
