today i looked inside a trashcan and saw an empty toilet paper roll. i thought, aw, it reminded me of third grade, back when i had a hamster and i would just give it a toilet paper roll or milk carton each week, as a "home" inside its cage. (they were disposable and easier to clean than those transparent colored plastic homes
