Ok, I like freaked out last night when he bent down on the sidewalk and was like "will you...wait for me to tie my shoe?" I was like OHHHH FUCK YOU JIM FUCK YOU FUCK YOU.

But am I the only one who thinks Pam isn't like...excited about it? At all? Or him? Like I feel while Jim is totally in love, Pam's been flat this whole time and it leads me to think she's going to say no when he does actually ask her.

no I definitely agree that Pam isn't as into it! she looked nervous when Jim was at her desk like NO SERIOUSLY WE ARE GETTING MARRIED SOME DAY.

I think they will get engaged/married ultimately but after being engaged for like, 4 years to Roy, Pam would understandably have some reluctance to go there again I'm assuming. Plus she probably thinks it's too soon. Which is why I think she'll say that she needs more time or something like that.

LoL, that's why when I saw this I was like http://community.livejournal.com/permanentrestop/1939.html#cutid1

no, no, this isn't what love is like. This is what Jim would be like if he were MY BOYFRIEND, but not PAM'S BOYFRIEND.

that's what our love would be like, poopfaces.

I think she's into it. I think anyone would be a bit nervous/scared when presented with the idea of forever, no matter who it's with... but I think she's into it ( ... )

I NEEDED TICKY BOXES. HOW WAS I EVER SUPPOSED TO CHOOSE JUST ONE ANSWER?!?!

If Jim puts that ring in food, I SERIOUSLY want to see someone else in the office accidentally eat it. *nods*

sorry! I realized after I posted that some of the questions would have been better suited to ticky boxes but I also feel like that's sort of cheating? because people can pick multiple answers and you don't get an accurate count. I AM TAKING THIS WAY TOO SERIOUSLY, WHOOPS.

I nominate Kevin to eat the ring.

Aww, poor Kevin.

Back in the day (and "the day" means...last December) a friend of mine and I were planning a truly EPIC fic involving Dwangela's daughter and Jam's son, anyhoo...when Jim was going to propose, I'd written that he kept the ring in his desk so that Pam wouldn't find it, but then Dwight found it.

So I want Dwight to find the ring. :P

SO BASICALLY what will happen when they get engaged depends on the circumstances, but I'm putting good money on "madly flailing excitement tempered by a strong sense of concern."

Considering I nearly had a coronary last night when he said he even had the ring, I am expecting to need some EMT's on standby for the next few Thursdays.

Please note: I think that Jim will incorporate a Dwight prank into the proposal/pre-proposal setup (IF ONLY TO DISTRACT PAM), but it would be awesome if, like, the teapot thing was the METHOD too. Like "distract distract prank! ... Let's have some tea!" (or, you know, something less lame sounding)

WHY IS IT NOT THURSDAY YET? I *need* my new Jensen Ackles (yay!) *AND* I need more fake-proposing and/or ACTUAL proposing! =wibbles=
