I know just last week I was considering buying a $2000 MacBook, but someone on Slashdot mentioned using one of these as an ebook reader in place of Amazon's Kindle and I started doing some research

The sad part is it's not really powerful enough for a "laptop" and definitely wouldn't be much good for like gaming or development, but it does everything I need a mobile device to do (Interweb, PDF reader, Camera, Music/Video Player). Plus has a keyboard so I can write on it. And I think I read somewhere it has Wikipedia built in (offline browsing) and is smaller than a CS textbook. Haha.
I was sitting in the airport in Detroit with my laptop running VI and command line mode thinking, "God this is like lugging around a 500 lb typewriter, why with low-end computer parts being cheap as they are has nobody made a friggin cheap word-processor / e-document reader.
