Yup. They wanted me to pay it off over like 10 years or something so they could milk all the interest they could get out of me, but I had the money so I figured it would be beneficial in the long run. Besides I hate having to remember to make monthly payments.

Well, we both know I didn't owe THAT much so it's not really a huge deal, but at least I'm mostly out of debt now so I can start saving for the future.

it's still something to be extremely happy about. it's a nice accomplishment really, no matter how big the loan.
