We had a Rogue Hamster Event early this morning. I had just happened to have gotten up at 4something am, and Bill got up to use the bathroom, turned on the light, and noticed that the top of Bart's cage was open, and the cat was making weird noises. I immediately shot out of bed, and there they both were, by the cat's water bowl, just... hanging

We was standing by Gwen's water bowl when I picked him up. At least he got some exercise and we didn't have got searching for him. And kitty didn't eat him which is alwasy a good thing.

Very good question, it seems like it's a different way every time. This time the dishlike top of the observation tower was off and upside down, which I have NO clue how he could have done as the thing locks into place and I have a hard time opening it myself!

So perhaps Bart has a Big Brain or Bart and Bill are in cahoots with each other or someone else has access to the apartment and thought it would be funny to open the trap door, or ????? I love a mystery.

I'm just glad he didn't break a leg in the jump from the tower or from the jump to the floor.

Or wait a second. Bart and Gwen have joined forces, that's it! I'll bet Gwen is capable of flipping the tower top. :-)

Thank goodness for no carnage! Hopefully Gwen never turns into a real cat and just grows into a giant kitten.
