Yesterday was my 18th birthday, and I was well-treated by all of my friends and relations in Slytherin, who are nothing if not generous and extraordinarily well-meaning. Millicent and I spent the bulk of the day together in private, naturalmente, while still attending to those lessons and duties which required our attention. Pansy, ever creative ( Read more... )

I do not know if it is in good form to give away a gift, Pansy, but you may play with the wallet as much as you like. And Mousey, too.

I didn't know you cared so much for what Creevey thought!!!! I only care for propriety with certain people!!!! Is it all right then if I keep the wallet until you need it back?!?!

This Muggle paper is very absorbant.

Creevey did not have to give me a gift. The fact that he did strikes me as a gesture worth respecting. But I am not possessive, and as such you may keep the wallet until I need it back.

Absorbant?

Velcro? That's disgusting. Why do you not burn it or give it away to a second year?

And I cannot believe that you would call Tracey and Daphne best mates. They are constantly squabbling, and the team is becoming harder and harder to mention due to their not-so-unspoken contest of oneupmanship.

My Mother didn't promise you anything.

As I said to Pansy, I do not feel it in good form to do away with a gift that was given with no ill-intent.

Best mates are often no stranger to squabbling. Surely you know this. I am sorry if it makes your captain duties difficult, however.

I am not so sure of that.

Are you sure that it was not given with ill-intent? You did say the velcro made a rude noise--perhaps the noise is intended to drive you mad, or give you an earache.

I simply prefer that they keep their squabbling off the pitch. Or just very far away from me, really.

I am sure of it, and she didn't.

Pansy seems to find the noise fascinating.

I always found Tracey and Daphne's squabbling to be rather amusing.

Hm. I am not sure you are as sure as you think yourself to be.

That gift would be unseemly now that I am your Defence professor, Mr Zabini.

But you were not a professor when you promised the gift, Professor.

I do not recall promising anything, Mr Zabini.

Such things were heavily implied, Professor Malfoy.

Is Colin Creevey in your good graces again, then?

Good? I would say I am decidedly neutral on the matter.

He does seem to want to please you, which I don't find surprising.

I would not say that I find it surprising either. For any number of reasons.
