This may prove to be most useful. I would hate to be inconvenienced with another outcome once I have developed aspirations for something. Close observation shall be needed in any event.

Buon giorno, Blaise. So nice to see that you've received a journal along with the others.

How is your mother?

Buon giorno, Mrs Malfoy. Isn't it? I admit that I am a bit surprised that so many have received them. Initially I thought that perhaps these journals were a student project of sorts but now I must re-assess that notion.

My mother is as well as can be expected. Grazie.

We had them when we were students at Hogwarts. An interesting diversion, to be sure, but they never seemed to be of practical use. Most everyone seemed to spend their time complaining about classes, other students or relationships.

It was quite a waste of such a potentially useful device.

I was not aware of that. This is becoming curiouser and curiouser by the moment. I suspect, Mrs Malfoy, that those particular topics are timeless among witches and wizards my age. Despite this, it is my hope that more significant topics will be discussed.

Shameful, that.

Everything is useful, if your mind is creative enough. I expect we'll just have to see how this all pans out.
