Silence In the Library
This is more of a reaction to the reaction posts for SitL just because fandom seems to have taken all their crack at once and have come up with some outlandish theories.
i.e. River Song is regenerated Rose. Really? Did I miss the episode where Rose becomes a Time Lord?
I don’t know whether to scream or to be amused by the fact that the Rosefen seem to have forgotten the entire premise of the show and are now focusing more on picking up Rose related clues from each episode rather than the episode itself. Plot you say? Among that ambiguous picture of a blonde girl in juxtaposition with the wolf there was a separate plot!?!
Having said that, I am intrigued and rather impressed that someone did spot a drawing of a blonde girl hanging above a picture of a wolf on the wall of the little girl’s house.
There are also a lot of comparisons between this episode and GitF, because of the someone-who-is-not-Rose implicit love interest. Rosefen all jumped on the prospect that River Song is the Doctor’s future wife. Jeez, that’s quite masochistic when you really think about it. I mean considering it pains them to see the Doctor be even implicitly romantically involved with anyone other than Rose, they love to speculate just how much the Doctor is in love with that Other.
My take on River Song is that she’s going to be his companion in the future. One who either leaves him or is left by him, because the way I understood it is that if she is companion in the future, then the future is her past, and the present is her future. Timey Wimey stuff!! And if the Doctor isn’t with her in her future and our present then they no longer travel together. I really want to see where it all goes though! Can it be next week now?
Also, quick thoughts on the actual episode; I LOVE DONNA!
And I loved the ‘Pretty Boy’ part.
