So SyFy is thinking about rebooting B7. No! Just... no!

The sad thing is, I'll probably watch it. And cry.

I'm with you... though given that a remake has been threatened by one lot or another since the turn of the millennium, i won't hold my breath...

Why don't they just steal everything that's good about blakes 7 and call it all something different

instead of what will doubtless be THE OPPOSITE viz calling it B7 and making it shit? The thing is that the US has CONCLUSIVELY PROVED that it CANNOT make a good TV show with sympathetic terrorists in. (Possible exception of Homeland, but if they give Blake the motivation that [spoiler] had, I will NOT BE PLEASED. Though obviously that is a foregone conclusion anyway.)

I started doing an all-black all-British casting for the new show, which was fun (Idris Elba as Blake, Paterson Joseph as Avon, then I ran out because I actually don't know any black British female actors), so there has been one good outcome of this terrible news at least.

Ahahaha. I have not seen Bugs or Being Human, or really much telly, which explains my lack of knowing. To some extent.

You are right that they are completely the wrong shape but the thing is that when they made Andromeda, IN MY HEAD, Blake and Avon watched it and Avon was very smug that he was now being played by a gigantic muscular guy because that is probably what Paul Darrow looks like INSIDE HIS HEAD. So I fixated on that a bit.
