SKI or SNOWBOARD??

I'm really excited about next Monday.
"I'm leavin on a jet plane"....to.....
COLORAAADO! Yep. We're skiing/snowboarding. Now I THINK I can pay extra when I get there to snowboard but I didn't know if I should just stick with skiing if it's easier. Any suggestions?
