So he studied up on them learned the basics and two months ago dove in
We have had the 2 hives for about 4-6 weeks now and they are kinda cool...
I helped Dad check them and had bees climbing on me seeing what I was all about while we all took care of our business.

The big one with the Royal Blue dot is the Queen, you can see the larva in the combs below her.
