My good friend Michelle, a.k.a. Ms. Geek, warned me against Vista as a resource and computer power hog. And about its built-in Copyright Nazi Content. I'll pass along this story to her and she will probably send you an I Told You So as soon as possible.

Well, it wasn't Vista that actually killed the other drive. I was re-installing win XP, and THAT one is the one that decided to demolish the 300g drive.
