Possible free substitution for a land line (assuming you have an internet line)
I believe I have found a decent free substitute for a home phone for people who don't mind keeping a computer on most of the time, using Google Voice and Gizmo5.
Google Voice allows free outgoing US calls from your computer and incoming calls to be forwarded to any US phone numbers. Gizmo allows free incoming calls to your computer as well ( Read more... ) -
