I have a guess, I just can't figure out how (if I'm right) you could have managed something so beautiful, substantial and polished as a pinch-hitter.

If you didn't write it, though, by all means read And, On The Other Side, a Welcoming Voice. 2 4 6 8, bog in, don't wait!

Also, someone wrote me a lovely story, On Open Wings. PG, magical spoonbill! Inspired by this gorgeous photo which I left in my sign-up as a sort of consolation because I couldn't think of a prompt, and then the extraordinary MA made a story from it!

More reccery! Antediluvia, a longer (50K, NC 17 but not especially graphic, mostly plot and relationship focused), funny brilliant story with merpeople and politics (eco and other) and much thoughtful and delightful stuff.

Also, if you are a cat lover, from this year's HD Fan Fair/Pet Fair, With Great Yawns and Stretchings 22K/PG, Draco fosters cats in his cat cafe. Unexpectedly moving.
