Why doesn't anyone I know in high school have an LJ.
Does anyone else feel the way I do?
Last semester, senior year. Dragggg…. Have you ever watched George Carlin in his later years? His brazen attitude becomes more apparent, including his infamous criticisms of conservative Americans. “Politicians say ‘God Bless America’ like it’s some sort of verbal tic that they can’t get rid of.” Bellow, bellow! This sort of non-PC is exactly characteristic of the attitude I am experiencing (And I have a feeling I’m not alone.) Editor: do not correct the spelling/grammar/syntax. You’re a senior too, and you probably don’t care at all. It must feel uncomfortable.
Can’t this year just be over? Moreover, can’t we just do something fun? I feel so absurd, reading my textbook like it holds any answers to anything I am about to face. Now junior year- whole different story. Life is giggles, going out, and working to ace tests. Absurdity is cool. Can’t I just take another trip to Wal-Mart, one last time, and celebrate the Spring Hill tradition. Wow, awesome town. I’m sorry, “census-designated place.” The only place in the world with a staggering academic record that will excuse its students to watch a pile of physically fit people fly up and down an auditorium. I’m sorry- I didn’t check my facts. I don’t know if basketball is really a waste of time, academically. The important thing is that I care not to look up statistics. I’m listening to rap music, on my own myspace page, because I’m here for me. I’m not careful! I hope if you’re reading this that you’re a senior too, because to any one not experiencing this, you just wasted 2 minutes of your life. You won’t ever get it back. Remember: you won’t get it back. However, seniors cannot help but waste time, a regress in their evolutionary viability.
