24 years and counting.

Call me crazy, but 24 seems like a big number.  Shouldn't I be married right now with a child and one more on the way?  Shouldn't I be expecting my promotion to low-level management?  Shouldn't I have a 30-year mortgage and two car payments eating up my bank account

I often wonder why parents are so irritated by their children doing things at a different age than they did. Is it morally reprehensible to do things differently than the generations before us? And do we do things differently with intent (just so we can say, "ha, we're different!")? I need an anthropologist friend.
