Just wondering if this is accurate, since I can, sometimes, think like Slick (the male character).

But of course! Potty humor and genitalia are a big no-no down this way with most of the hard-core Bible thumpers. You'd be amazed at what some/most of them seem to find offensive. Sometime when I have a few hours, I'll tell you about the time someone in my family came out of the closet, and the reactions that caused. In the end, they ran screaming back into the closet--or maybe they were shoved back in.

I used to be a big fan, read it every day. Then, with our second to last move, and going back on dial-up, I had to pare down my online activities, and this was one of the things that got dropped. Now that we have broadband goodness once again, I've started reading it once again. Generally funny, pokes fun at most religions, has a good dose of off-color humor, and sometimes even makes you stop and think--what's not to like? :)
