Notes: I was bored, there's more of this stuff going around. I realized I never did mention my reasons for liking these two.

That reason is they both kick each other back into reality.

That is definitely the best reason (besides their chemistry and friendship) why BC work. That entire paragraph was spot on and that's why they're the true stars of the show. It is real. They don't have to pretend.

SD was supposed to be the main couple, but neither Serena nor Dan are true to themselves or each other when they're together.

Where as with Blair and Chuck, they're real and true with each other, like they aren't with anyone else. They both put on this persona for the UES and society, yet together, they can be themselves.

Great essay. And I think, easily the best reason there is. With Chuck, Blair doesn't have to be this perfect princess, she can be herself, aggressive, rude, sexy, fiery. With Blair, Chuck can let his guard down, someone who shares similar traits with him. There's nothing he can do that would repulse (i think). They just fit, dammit. Theirs isn't a fairytale, it's REAL.
