Weekend was good, although very random.

Friday I met up with Mary and Mia after work, got dinner and bummed around White Flint, and then I scurried off to see Ironman before running over to the 'Dome. Ironman = AWESOME, by the way. We finished off one of the bottles of Cruzan Black Cherry rum, and I had one of those random chain smoking on the back porch evenings, as it was not raining. Crashed at the 'Dome, then swung by Starbucks on the way home to get coffee and post my fic. Took a nap, went to Target and got a rackton of DVDs on sale (including a combo pack of Dark Angel season one with Dark Shadows season one for twenty bucks) and got some kitchen stuff for The Move. Called my friend Jessica as I sat checking my email in front of Starbucks again, and she was in the same shopping center getting some groceries so we randomly hung out in front of my car for an hour.

Future Roommate called as I was on my way home, and she came over and we ran up to Valhalla, actually named "The Wine Corridor". After we walked through there -- she had never seen its glory -- we decided to drive to the beach. We left at 10:30 and got to Ocean City a little before 1:30 in the morning, thanks to some construction or something closing down a lane on the Bay Bridge. We crashed at about 3:00 and got up at 8:30.

We had breakfast at the Bayside Skillet, which had an amazingly pink and strawberry themed decor. Even the little curb-gaurd things between the parking spaces where pink with strawberries on them. I got a potato and seafood breakfast, which was ginormous and came back home in a box. You may note my surprise at its size:

Ashley got what I in retrospect should have gotten, the Strawberry Crepes.

We wandered down to the beach by the end of the boardwalk. It was chilly, grey and mostly deserted. The water was still beautiful, although in a stark way that I rarely see at the beach.

We talked to a guy with a cute dog for about an hour, Ashley trying to get BoBo (the dog) to chase her into the edge of the water, but it was mostly nothing doing on his part.

We left to come back just after noon, and then it was mother's day dinner. I took a nap after dinner, then watched Survivor with my mom, and then hung out with my sister and her friend Lauren, who had just gotten hom from Penn State.

Tonight, the chriropractor, then laundry and fic writing and, dear lord help me, probably Dancing with the Stars while folding said laundry. Nothing exciting, which is good, because I'm still tired.

Love to the flist

random, ramblings
