It´s been a while...

I hope everyone that may come across my blog finds themselve well.  I could write all kinds of things about what I have experienced while I have been here in Guatemala.  But instead I chose to list four weird things about myself.  Hmm I have always though of myself as a pretty eccentric person but we are not who we think we are....not usually, ( Read more... )

Wonderful weirdness! And just so you know, I loved Harold & Maude as well. Can't remember how old I was when I saw it, but I saw it only once, and I still remember seeing it. And that porous thingy is gross. I don't get freaked out by it, but I do think it's gross. Bone marrow gets me too.
Looking forward to more weirdness. :)

On Pores. Funny to read that... I remember just by reading your point 3, that I had exactly the same as a child. It was in one of the comics on Donald Duck, that they showed one boat, upside down, with round black holes in it. And I felt it awful, and couldn't stop looking at it. Thanks for reminding me... (guess Freud would suggest an explanation but I am quite sure that is not it)

Besides the above 3 I mentioned, here are my six from a previous time I did this little quiz:

1. I can pretty much quote Monty Python & the Holy Grail verbatim.
2. I refuse to walk barefoot on floors, even ours here at home (though they may be sparkling clean) - I hate the idea of getting anything on my feet.
3. I really don’t like chocolate.
4. I have a strong stomach and could watch a corpse being dissected, but just the mere idea of a needle going into skin, makes me cringe.
5. My first doctor’s visit was at the ripe age o' 27 (besides being delivered by one, heh).
6. I loathe answering or talking on the phone - if it rings, I will let someone else get it or (if no one's around) let it go to voicemail.

I too refuse to walk on floors barefoot. I am the opposite of you when it comes to corpses and needles. Needles dont bother me but I can´t see a corpse being dissected. My first trip to the hospital for something was this year at the age of 25 hehe. I got a bad knee sprain that I am still recuperating from. I was playing with my kids(my students) in the afternoon and somehow I fell and sprain my knee. Holes in the ground after the snow has melted REALLY freaks me out. I feel the same way you do. I also have never told anyone about my fear of holes because I thought well they´ll think I am a nutcase. I have also had nightmares about porous things. I also prefer meloncholy music to upbeat music. I have always liked music that makes me "feel" and the more moodier music does that for me. I don´t express my feeling on my sleeve so music really helps me to express myself. I also like to paint and draw. We have so much in common. That is so cool. Thanks for the comments. I also share you love of book although I suck at
