I haven't had any problems (yet) with any other embedded files, just that one. I'm downloading it, but I'm pretty sure I already know which commercial it is.
We'll see tomorrow (of I remember) whether or not it works on my work PC (also recently FF3 upgraded). I probably shouldn't blame FF3; I only mention that because it's the only thing on my system which has recently been changed.
It's the classic one where a kid says "It's fun to find out what makes an ocean wave, wave." and "My name is Karen! It's fun to find out what your voice really sounds like".
The video is the one I remember watching all the time as a kid, at least while watching Channel 56 in the afternoon, during the Flintstones.
The video is an .mp4 file, which should work fine in QT after you download it. But embedding is different than downloading and playing, so yeah. Even videos that are shown at wired.com don't work well 'cause they did some funky embedding to (try to) prevent people from nabbing the original video file.

I'm using FF3 here (Mac) and it also works with Safari. I haven't tried it on my PC.
