Bring it on 2012!

  • Dress a celebrity and/or more musicians.

  • Finish my business plan

  • First solo show

  • Seriously approach potential investors

  • Cut back on conventions. Only sell at the two where I have fun so I can fund those trips. No more anime cons outside of AWA.

  • Cater to my dream clients, not strictly Lolitas. Move away from Lolita while still being one.

  • Travel more. Make the trips lucrative by multitasking business with pleasure.

  • Get in a bigger mainstream publication

  • Change the mission statement of the Libertine Asylum and mutually help each other gain success

  • Learn a new skill

  • Set aside time to read

  • Get a second car

  • Get below 200 lbs

  • Get into Seattle Alternative Fashion Week

  • Spend at least uninterrupted one night a week with my husband, no phone.

  • Find more ways to contribute to the charity that I've been raising money for

Usually I hit a larger amount of resolutions harder on the head. This year I got close to many, but ended up changing my mind or having it affected by the tornado. So as an update, we didn't get a second car but we did get new car. I am at 209 lbs, but I didn't start actively starting to lose weight until August. I'll be under 200 by February and I feel rad about that. I've so far lost 34 lbs. I decided to not apply for Seattle Alt Fashion Week because I want more respect from the main stream and I've started to get it. I dressed a couple of musicians, but no actors. I have an opportunity to get some stuff on a director for a couple of red carpet events in 2012, so we'll see how that goes. I wasn't able to travel due to the tornado. All of my pre-storm plans were quashed, but I did do many other things! I cut down on conventions (I only do Teslacon now), I got a studio space outside of my home, a went to SCORE for help with my business plan and I've reassessed my business. I have different clients, more respect from MN Fashion, new and interesting clients and a lot of cool ideas.

    So on to 2012!

  • Get to 165 lbs and stay there

  • Make more time to read

  • Take at least one day off per week

  • Travel for business and pleasure

  • Make new business connections

  • Seriously look into production, take necessary steps to get to that point

  • Finish Business Plan

  • Get clothes on an actor, C-list or higher

  • Get into a mainstream publication

  • Take necessary steps to hire at least one employee

  • Get health insurance sorted so we can start a family in 2013

  • Find more ways to contribute to the charities for which I've been raising money

  • NY show in the fall

I think that looks good. Not easy, but doable. It'll definitely keep me on my toes.

Well, good luck to all of you in your resolutions!
