Glad to read this, it is interesting how it has been advertised - I would have been disappointed if it wasn't a zombie movie. Why keep a title if you were to change the story that drastically?

Technically, the original novel is a vampire book... not zombies. So far, the two previous movies based on this have kept that idea. Hopefully, this one will too. I'd hate to see a good vampire story (and such a groundbreaking one) get turned into a zombie one. Not that I have anything against zombie stories, mind you.

The ending from the book is not in this movie. It's a remake of The Omega Man with 28 Days Later.

AHA! I was wondering if it was a zombie movie or a plague movie, or both. For some reason I was getting a huge "28 Days Later" vibe when I saw the ads, so I guess I was kind of on, though I also thought it could have been maybe like "The Stand". Now I know! Thanks.

I thought it was more thriller than horror, myself. I know someone who's avoiding it since she doesn't like horror movies, but it's more about the story and the acting than it is about the scares. It has a similar feel as Children of Men, although it's nowhere as good as that movie.

Thanks for the warning. Since 28 Weeks later was like the most disgusting thing I've seen in a long time, it's something to think about before I rush to see it with Josh as he wants to do.
