so last night, chuck and I wanted to try some improvements to open cola. We tweaked the recipe and i think we have an even better cola taste now. we improved three things. i brought with me four 2 liters; pepsi, rc, coke, and sprite. after some taste comparison with our bubblegum flavor, i came to the conclusion that our base was to sweet. so we ( Read more... )

we may need to find a different way to get the sodium, table salt, just tastes too much like, well, table salt. Just IMHO, but the other Rachel agrees.

Is it possible to make an open cola with Splenda rather then sugar and no caffeine?

at peng 4.0 we already had a diet batch that had spelenda not sugar. it's very easy to have the the caffine, we just don't added to a batch, how ever, so few ppl demand a no caffine batch, and we currently only have 3 dispense heads, that we can either do a no sugar, or no caffine version, or a no sugar and no caffine version, so we currently choose no sugar version. eventually when we have our 6 head dispenser, we will prolly have all three variations.
