We thought we had found an apartment this past Sunday and were really excited about it. The place was pretty much just what we were looking for and right next door to close friends of ours. Well, as it turned out, there were significant lead hazards in the apartment. After getting a quote the owner decided he couldn't afford to delead the place

Only if he decides to rent to people with a kid under 6 . . . which he's unlikely to do knowingly :/

We found a house we liked in Oregon like that a few years ago...our cats actually do sometimes lick walls so it was out!
