Back to the 60's?

Anyone remember when Dan Rather was arrested covering a protest of the Vietnam war?

Some things just don't change.

I don't think this is getting the coverage that it deserves!

Ok, but where's their commentary about the ABC newsman arrested in Denver for filming Democratic big wig donors entering a restaurant? I don't think this is strictly a problem related to Republicans...

While I can't come up with his name, ABC made a fuss over that - as a major network, they did OK at bringing it to the public's attention (in my opinion).

I don't think it's a problem related to whose convention it is; I think it's a problem related to law enforcement's attitude. I don't think it helped that the Denver thugs were only lightly chastised, giving other law enforcement agencies the idea that this behavior is OK.

I won't disagree about the behavior of the police (based on what I know of it) being not OK. I'm saying that I might have some sympathy for them if they were noting that it's going on at the sites of both parties' conventions, but not when they're suggesting that the problem has particularly anything to do with Republican rule.
