As she listened to the lively music, the girl sighed. She had barely escaped the stupid empty tradition of singing on a meaningless holiday. The cold empty stone porch was much more inviting and at least was silent and let in the wind play child-like on the chimes hanging from the rafters.

The kids had never liked her. She was different from any of them for her parents died of a plague and she had been brought years ago from lands afar to the stone orphanage. Her hair silver and her skin was as pale as alabaster and nothing was unordinary about her eyes, gray as they were; this was different from the other people inhabiting this place. Blonde and tan skin and blue eyes all around.

A/N- I know. Only two paragraphs but I can’t think of anything else! GARG! Help!
