"Asking for forgiveness is easier than permission" -poem

Asking for forgiveness is easier than permission
If you seem to lose your faith
Allow me to ruefully re-iterate;
Re-instate your previous state of mind
And after a while- you will feel safe, you will feel fine.

Even if the past will grant you a false sense of security.
It may be enough to keep you going on.
Forgiveness is neither mine to give, nor to take.

With no time to waste, I will resume my position in hell.
Hailing from afar, wishing familiar and new faces well.
I have been digging these graves, for all eternity.
Attempting to save, the false hope that praised me
Enslaved me, and locked me away.
I can only resume my attempts for redemption another day.

In the wake of deprivation, I lose concentration
And resolve to desperation.
Even if it grants me a false sense of security,
It may be enough to keep me going on.
With all the sorrow I reap
I now understand what I have sown.
Forgiveness is not mine to keep.
