☛ Fourth Objection [ Locked to Kristoph and Phoenix and maybe Edgeworth/Trucy ]

Aug 21, 2008 23:55

[ It's late afternoon in the City when Apollo and Kristoph find themselves at Pandora's. After having searched the City high and low in order to locate some place to open up a law office, Kristoph had suggested going some place to rest their feet and recharge their batteries so that they could continue their search 'til nightfall. They had found ( Read more... )

[ He, on the other hand, has no problem whatsoever in taking Apollo to a place like this. He'd come here once before, with that young man who had told him a lot about this City and guided him about how to start work here. Yagami, his name was... and he felt this was a rather good opportunity to show Apollo some of the finer places he may have not had a chance to see back in L.A.

And of course, no work could be done if they had no energy to do it. Which is why, completely at ease, he seats himself easily after being led by the young waitress who took them to their table and he turns to glance at Apollo when he speaks, raising an eyebrow ]

Not to your liking, Justice?

[ It's a partial tease, as the waitress leaves menus for them, and he glances over. He'll wait for Apollo to order before getting anything for himself, though he is in the mood for something sweet... ]

[ Apollo felt his cheeks redden slightly when the question was posed; he pushed himself up into a sitting position, keeping his back straight and his shoulders squared. If he was going to be at in a high-class restaurant where it was obvious that everyone could and would be completely full of themselves, he was going to at least appear on their level.

... Even if he felt a little awkward doing so. ]

No, sir..! It's not that.

[ He paused, looking around as one hand reached for the menu, flipping it open almost carefully, as though afraid he'd tear the expensive paper and be charged five million dollars for it. ]

I've, er, never been to a place like this before.

[ Pandora's wasn't exactly as high class as say, the other places he'd heard. However, this was one place he knew was famous among the youngsters here. Even now, the place seemed to have people of all ages, but mostly young couples. And he wondered if that would strike Apollo as something unique or if it would go over his head completely.

No matter. He would take his time. After all, if this was going to be what he wanted Apollo eventually discovering it to be, then he had to play it cool. Keeping his arms loosely folded across his chest, he leans back in his chair and then raises one arm, a hand under his chin with a thoughtful expression ]

Never, Justice? Surely there must have been places like these for students near where you studied?

[ Casual conversation. Check. ]

[ For the moment, Apollo seemed to be willing to let the surroundings go over his head, because if he did notice that the main group of people here were all young couples happily together, he might start actually flipping his lid. Especially since he knew that Kristoph wasn't quite that open with public displays of affection.

But upon feeling his stomach growl, Apollo carefully flipped through the menu to seek out something delicious to eat before they could continue the conversation on the matter of their law offices.

Shaking his head, he gives Kristoph a bit of an awkward smile. While Apollo is easily made flustered in places like this and in this kind of situation, he's not a bumbling idiot. And being with Kristoph has helped him keep his stammering in control.

Somewhat. ]

Er.. Not really, sir.. I, um, I was really focused on my studies when I was in school. I didn't socialize much.
