Dealing with Death

I just found out that one of my ex-girlfriends took her own life. I'm kinda pissed at some people that I just now found out about this. However I do realize that I've been out of touch and I'm sure that those who knew her are going through a rough time with this

I believe in reincarnation. The Egyptians very much believed in this. The theory, at least, is that they believed each lifetime a person learned so much, and that there was essentially as test in the afterlife. If you didn't pass the test, you might be reincarnated to try again. In fact, it was pretty much known that you couldn't reach enlightenment in one lifetime. The Christian idea of Jesus could have stemmed from the idea that there would come a time when you could attain enlightenment in one lifetime. It is also thought that the reason they mummified people was because they felt the soul could not be reincarnated as long as the body was intact, and so they wanted to give the soul as much time as possible to either try and pass the test of the afterlife or to continue learning before they were reincarnated
