Alright...so you're all aware that bleach_muses will be making some changes in the next couple of weeks. We've already made the comm public, streamlined the links, and finished up the last challenge. We discovered that maybe a genre challenge is a bit too broad, so we'll be returning to the tried-and-true prompts like we've done in the past, with two small ( Read more... )

I like the ideas of using a theme for the challenges.

I was actually hoping that the lazy Saturday afternoon discussions would continue. It seems like after the first one they kind of disappeared.

I also was thinking about starting one today, but based on an issue I had been having getting a fic figured out (coming up with something that doesn't have the feel of "been there done that before" or "copied off someone else's idea" because I have read a lot of other people's work) but I haven't figured out how I would have wanted to word it without making it a brainstorming session for my fic, but rather open ended so that everyone who might be having that issue can get something out of it.

All the prompt modifications sound very sensible, and I think themes for 'em would be awesome -- archaic words only, or super powers, or song titles/lyrics or mythological pantheons/legends/beasts, words related to a specific setting, or even diseases (psychological and physiological). . .stuff like that would be very cool.

As for what I'd like to see. . .I gotta be honest, I miss Sexy Saturdays. But any kind of discussion, really. Could be character-centric (what archestype[s] suits whom, etc.), or broader, more basic writing-related stuff (how each author plots, or just how they write -- do they start at the beginning and work chronologically, skip around, do dialogue first, that sort of thing. I love listening to people talk about how their brains work ^^).

So pretty much exactly what's been going on, only. . .more? 'cause it's all been pretty bangin' so far. :)
