i noticed in the nutrition value of mate that it has 130% of your daily value of chromium in 3grams of the plant. considering i use a gourd and only drink it about once a week, i wasn't too concerned with this, until i realised that i must have been drinking about x15 or more of that in a gourd (more that 3 grams, 'cos 3 grams says that there is about 151 servings per bag, and we use a bag in about 10 uses...) so, i looked up chromium and i found that there are 4 types, one is an essential nutrient that one needs in trace amounts herealso from wikipedia: Biological role
