Honestly, I don't think there is anything worth playing over the net with Wii lol. From what i heard even Brawl is horrible over the net. It's laggy and buggy.

Brawl is pretty laggy with anything above 2 people. Mario Kart, on the other hand, is fantastic online.

Older game would be Mario Strikers, however I never tried online. I think you can play 1v1 maybe? Joe would know.

Delayed response!! Yes, Mario Strikers works online 1v1 and its pretty damn fun and smooth. IIRC you can have 2v2 either completely online or 2 on each system, I don't remember which one but I'm pretty sure one of those statements is true.

And a brand new game up on WiiWare as of last week, Dr Mario RX Online. Only 1v1 (WHY?!) but its Dr Mario, damnit.
