I don't suppose anyone has any tips on removing the inside panel of a door? Mainly I can't get the inside handle off. I'm guessing the handle is something S&S put on and not stock, as it's the rear passenger-side door. I've tried numerous ways, but I'm afraid I'll break it if I haven't already. Any help would be appreciated.

Does it look like this:

If so, you need a tool like this:

You can find one at a local parts store in the "Help" section.

Press the panel in, and slide the tool under the handle to press this clip out:

Just remove the screw on the pivot center.

I have a 73 S&S & all the handles are standard GM.

Thank you.

Yes, it's the first type of handle. All the stupid Chilton's guide said was "remove the handle".

can I use the same tool to put it back on?

No, you just put the clip back in the handle, and press it back on with the palm of your hand.
