Basically, a free-for-all for you guys to be nosy, or if you're newer, to figure out shit you're not really clear on. I'm enabling the anon option in case you don't feel comfortable asking something "face-to-face", as it were. I'm also posting it with the hopes that it spreads - sometimes with LiveJournal and such the way it is, people change and ( Read more... )

25. What are my future plans?Considering that school's been derailed, I plan on somehow rectifying that in the future. I'm a bit nervous that I can't do it, but my first plan is to somehow pay off the $1200 I owe Saint Leo and get a student loan/scholarship to attend USF instead ( ... )

8. Biggest turn-offs.

1) A nasty attitude towards others. It doesn't matter that you have the face and body of a god(dess) if you're an arrogant, self-centered piece of shit.
2) A callous attitude towards animals. You can tell a lot about a person by how they treat animals, and the first thing I try to figure out is how they treat their companion animals, if they have any.
3) Sexism. That's an instant deal-breaker. If you don't respect me and other women, you're not worthy of me. (Sounds cocky, but I'm not desperate enough to date a chauvinist.)
4) A blase attitude towards one's own hygiene. I'm not the cleanest individual ever, so it's not like the person has to shower twice a day, every day, or any nonsense. But there are obvious signs that you don't care for your body and/or your health; if your hair and skin are always greasy, and your have intense body odor from cigarettes/alcohol/unhealthy lifestyle, that's... not... attractive.

7. My favorite book.

Hmm... as far as how much the series has made an impact on my life, and how much I just... love them? Definitely the Harry Potter novels. They're not literary masterpieces in the way that literature snobs would like, but the world and stories contained in the series is so involved and just... engrossing. No other book series has come close to it for me.

As far as the sheer beauty of the prose, and the pleasure that it was to read it? Definitely Empress by Shan Sa. The story is incredible, but as a writer, what really made it stick out for me was the how beautiful her writing was. I aspire to be as talented as she is one day.

10. My favorite animal.

As typical as it sounds, I would have to say it's a tie between dogs or cows. Both animals have such kind, intelligent eyes, and I just... yeah. I adore 'em :3

16. My 5 favorite songs right now.Oh man, this is a hard question to answer. I wouldn't say they're my top five favorites so much as the top five that I've been playing with sickening frequency lately ( ... )

Sexual preference and favorite ice cream are like the same thing, right?

1. Sexual orientation.

The technical term would be pansexual, though these days, I just say "queer" because it seems more fitting and doesn't require exhaustive explanations on my part. (The idea of sex vs. gender, and being attracted to people within the spectrum as well as on the opposite ends, tends to confuse people.) Plus, to me, it's just a lot easier - it sounds too pretentious and special snowflake to cling to a word that most don't recognize when "queer" or "I like both" is simpler and works just as well.

20. Favorite flavor of ice cream.

So Delicious Peanut Butter Zig Zag is A-MAAAA-ZING. I always add in extra peanut butter and bananas, if I have them. It's so goddamn good.

HIGH-FIVE.
That is actually exactly how I feel. My now-ex had a lot of gender-related issues with feeling more masculine/wanting to be a guy, but being in a female body. It really helped me realize that gender and what somebody identifies as isn't that important to me - I care more about who somebody is over the sexual-identification of them. I guess. Orz And I agree, it's very hard to describe and like, put in to words when somebody asks you. It's like UHHH and then you have this big long story. Or, at least I do. But I'm in no way eloquent.

THIS ICE CREAM LOOKS SUPER INTERESTING!!
I have never heard of it!

More or less. It's like... honestly, a lot of different things are attractive to me. It's like asking me to choose between chocolate, strawberry, vanilla, peanut butter, and caramel. I like all of them, and all are their own flavors that can be mixed in a lot of ways that are unique and wonderful. I hate having to compare all of this to flavors, but that's the only way I think to describe it in a way that doesn't devolve into "you just need to make up your mind". I really shouldn't have to when I know that I'm not strictly heterosexual - and when I'm honest about it, I was in denial about that for a while. Why go back in the closet about it, y'know?

It's really good! Though I tend to prefer coconut ice cream because the consistency is creamier, this flavor has a better texture than most soy ice cream, and it's absolutely delicious. Peanut butter and chocolate is the best flavor combination ever.
