Such a beautiful turn of phrase.
The battle weary scars
Of men unkempt and broken.
But these scars will not stop him.
Forward and onward his heart charges
Until the death that most certainly awaits.

A shard of glass
A broken heart
Dissolving strangers
falling into vastness waste.

Don't go fighting your desire,

Looking at you,
watching your every move.

My yearning heart thumping
with every useless beat
Lifts me higher off my feet

Anticipation.

Serene and slightly inspired

Tranquil but deep

Darkness stole the night

And my dreams from underneath

A starry sky

Unspoken lies

Crashing seas

You are a pearl in my hand

I close my eyes you fade away

leaving tears in your place

Holding on to what I've got

But begging for release

You're gone now, so far away

Standing on the edge

Teetering on the brink

Looking in

Breathing slowly

purposefully

Dreaming of diving in

Too high to toe the water

Too low to dive straight in

Sliding in gently

As the waves tumble in

I'm in over my head

And I've forgotten how to swim
