So here is the problem. I have a job for the taking here in Houston. It is a good job with a pump company in LaPorte, but far away from Austin. The other option is to not take the job and move back to Austin starting on the 15th and look for a job in town. I am torn because the prospects for a ME job in Austin seem less than ideal, but having to

I agree. Personally, I would jump on the chance to make (and thus save up) money to be able to do bigger and better things later. And I completely understand how hard it will be to choose between Ellie and somewhat-far-from-Ellie. I'm very (read: unbelievably extremely amazingly) happy with Dan, and it pains me to think about being far away to have a good job. However, I'd rather be far away for a little while and have the means to pay for things later than be perpetually poor.
