You know, what you're saying is so damn true. We need to concern ourselves more with the impetus of sin than the sin itself. It would help a million times more if we understood our longing for fulfillment. It would be more beneficial to assist those who really want to cast off their shackles. Granted, many want pain relief and not change, but if God leads our hearts, will He not lead us to those who want change--as we wanted it?

and i agree with you. what is more important to do: continuously pick rotten fruit off a tree or go the root and uproot what is bad, thus producing healthier fruit?

I strongly disagree! I've focused pretty damn hard on not having sex and I never have.
I also strongly disagree that "liberal" opinion doesn't count.
