Anyone know anything about wireless routers? I found 2 on dell that I'm looking at.
So I was looking on dell which is 802.11 wireless g (which someone had suggested I look for that specification)

Does your laptop have a built-in wireless card? If not, you'll need something like this... (or this if you only have a desktop...)
This is the wireless router/access point that I would recommend. I've found in my experience that TRENDnet equipment is not only easy to use, but reliable and tough as nails. (Yes, I am a tech support nerd, sue me lol).

Don't get me wrong, I like LinkSys products, but buying from Dell is a boo-boo, in my estimation.
The things you were looking at would be fine to connect a bunch of computers, but I think you'd be paying too much and they aren't wireless... if you want a wireless network, you can find stuff like what I linked you to (NewEgg FTW, BTW).

That's cool.
That's not a terrible price for the LinkSys Wireless then. It's not the best, but it's not terrible either.
I say go for it then.
