Yeah, thanks for being the first to let us know - your text came in fairly late last night (didn't check exactly when since I'm up at 0450 for work!). As much as being on the same bill would normally be a fun thing, and besides him pitting London-based friends against each other in an undignified tug-of-war over ticket sales, there are several aggravations with Frank shoe-horning any band in first on - namely, reduced soundchecks, set times and changeovers (did I really hear mention of 10mins per band??). After that last few Frank gigs, which were dire in organisational terms, I've all but lost patience.
A slight correction there - that last line should read "After the last few Frank gigs..."
And, I think Steve may have now contacted Frank off the back of your heads-up. Otherwise I wonder when he was going to tell us - before or after you guys turned up with your gear?
I understand completely, but it might not be so bad... after all, our last show involved 5 bands in the same amount of time as this one! And we were amazed that we managed to sound check everyone to their satisfaction with time to spare before doors opening! We sound check and changeover really smoothly, so there should be no problems from us anyway, heh heh.
As far as I'm aware though, we ARE on the bill and I was a little upset that this post seemed to imply otherwise. I hope that it wasn't your intention as I do not want to cause bad feeling or drama with anyone, let alone friends! We cool?
