But he's black!

Nov 06, 2008 07:04

There's something sad about the way the news keeps pointing out that Obama is black.  How we as a nation are so proud to have our first black president.  The fact that it matters so much to us is a testament to our continued prejudice.  We're trying too hard, and patting ourselves on the back for our apparent success ( Read more... )

Well YOU clearly are a racist and a fascist.

Ugh, I wish people would have common sense. Because to me what you JUST said is the most common sensical thing about this whole election. It bothers me a lot. Common sense, not so common!

I agree with you. I am wondering how long this honeymoon period is going to take.

Another thing that is funny is that the has been in Illinois (my sate) since 95 and is not know for anything. Everyone around here is not acting like the rest of the country.

I think they hate Bush so much that they are transferring their ideas onto Obama.

Some of my gay friends are happy he is in and talk about gay marriage and when I pointed out that Obama is against gay marriage they all ignored me. It is a head scratcher.

If it weren't for the fact that he was elected by a majority of people that did not know what he stood for, I would think the honeymoon period wouldn't last very long. However, when idiots run amok, they seem to not notice when they caused the sky to fall.

I seriously don't understand the huge to-do about him being black. Exactly as you said, if we weren't such a color-minded people, then it wouldn't be such a promoted thing.

Haha, you have no idea how hard I tried to find someone, anyone who was voting for him who had a clue what he stood for. They'd get mad at me for saying they didn't know as much as I did, then when challenged they disappeared or said totally unrelated things. Honestly, not ONE PERSON knew even what was on his website.

I'm not a proponent of the two party system, but since it's what we have, I voted against Obama by voting for McCain. At least he didn't want to kill babies. Since nobody had a chance but one of the two, I didn't want to throw my vote away.

Truth be told, I'm a Conservative Democrat. *watches people's heads explode* If the Dems hadn't nominated a socialist, they might have actually gotten my vote. Not that it matters, people weren't voting on the issues, they were voting against Bush. Idiots.
