Room 226, Saturday Morning

Apr 26, 2008 11:07

Post-prom, Wyatt and Isabel had returned to his room. They probably wouldn't have fallen into so restful a sleep if they thought about what had happened after the prom last year.

Victoria had decided to find her parents. Which meant she focused for a moment and then orbed to where they were. She sighed when she saw them in the bed. This was just like Saturday mornings at home.

"Mom! Dad! Wake up! Let's go play."

Isabel heard a noise and half opened one eye to see what was going on.

Obviously she was still dreaming. But just in case she wasn't.

"Wyatt, your daughter is looking for you."

"I turned the robot baby in," Wyatt mumbled, not even half-awake yet.

"Dad!" Victoria said, exasperated. "Come on! Get up! I'm hungry!"

"You heard her," Isabel mumbled. "She's hungry. So am I. Feed us."

Wyatt lifted his head. And blinked. "Victoria?" Honestly, he shouldn't be surprised at this point of life in Fandom.

"Uh-huh," she nodded happily. Then pounced.

And tickled.

Isabel was finally awake. And blinking a lot at the giggling girl that had landed in the bed.

"Fandom strikes again. Wow."

Wyatt moved over a little, then grabbed the squirming Victoria and pulled her between him and Isabel. "How'd you get here?" he asked, giving her a big hug.

"I was in my room and there was a big blue swirling thing," Victoria explained, hugging him back. "And then I was here in the park so I came looking for you."

Delighted as she was to meet the daughter she'd only heard about, Isabel couldn't help but wonder if somewhere, some when, an older version of her and Wyatt were panicking over a missing daughter.

"And you found us," Isabel smiled, running hand over Victoria's hair.

"Much better than a robot, isn't she?" Wyatt said, smiling at Isabel.

"Oh absolutely," she agreed. "Of course this changes the game plan for the day. Somehow sleeping in and then finding other ways to pass the time just doesn't see like it'll work if we're going to be parents for the next few days." At least she hoped it was for a few days. She wanted time to get to know this cheerful little pixie.

"How about we let her decide?" Wyatt said, tickling Victoria. "What do you want to do, munchkin?"

Victoria was only too happy to tell him. "I want to go to the beach and to the park and to preserve and to get donuts and I want to do EVERYTHING!"

"I only hope you have the energy to do all that," Isabel laughed. "But we can certainly give it a try."

"Breakfast first though, right?" Wyatt said. "We can go to Luke's and get something once Mommy and I get dressed."

"Pancakes with strawberries and tabasco?" Victoria asked hopefully. "And whipped cream?"

"Gee, I wonder where you got those tastebuds," Isabel teased. "But you have your daddy's good looks."

"And my hair," Wyatt said, tugging on a curly lock of Victoria's hair. "But I think she's got your eyes."

"Ouch! No pulling or Mommy says I can pull back," Victoria said firmly. "And I can orb like Daddy and change stuff like Mommy and when I get bigger I can help stop the mean demons."

"So in other words, life is going to be very interesting," Isabel observed. "Which is not necessarily a bad thing. But for now I'm hungry. And pancakes sound yummy."

Grateful that she'd pulled on one of Wyatt's t-shirts when she went to bed, Isabel gave her baby daddy a push. "Come on. Let's get it in gear."

Wyatt got out of bed, equally grateful he was still wearing boxers. He grabbed some clothes and disappeared into the bathroom to take a quick shower and get dressed.

Isabel pulled on a pair of sleep pants then held out her hand to Victoria. "Come with me. You can meet my cat, Annie and play with her while I get dressed."

"I know Annie the Second," Victoria said as she took her mother's hand. "She lives at the Manor with us."

While hearing that shouldn't surprise her, Isabel still blinked. "Oh really. Why don't you tell me all about it?"

Chattering happily, Victoria did as they went up to the fourth floor.

A while later, she orbed herself and her mom back to Wyatt's room.

"We're ready to go now!" she declared.

Wyatt scooped her up into his arms. "Breakfast, then the park?" he said.

Victoria nodded vigorously even as Isabel slipped her arm around Wyatt's waist. "It's a most excellent plan...Daddy."

"You're buying, Mommy," Wyatt teased, then orbed them into town.
