Fork had awaken in a closet with a splitting, frying-pan induced headache. It took him awhile, but he managed to bust the door down. Isabel had set an alarm to wake her up well before sunset. She would have liked to take a shower, but somehow being naked and wet just seemed to be a little too vulnerable of a position to be in given the whole my boyfriend has been temporarily replaced by a vampire situation. Instead she washed up as best she could and then went in search of Fork.

"Interesting reading?" she asked when she finally found him.

"There's some leftover Chinese in the fridge," Isabel replied. "But I doubt that's what you had in mind. And for the record? I'm pretty sure that's all good magic in that book. So I don't think you're going to have any luck."
