we left my house thursday evening because hurricane ike was going to be ripping through houston late friday/early saturday. i anxiously spent the weekend in tomball, passing out the storm. going back home on saturday to check on the house was a nightmare. thankfully our house survived. we spent saturday night back in tomball, then went home on

Even north of Pasadena, it hit really hard. You should see my house. My whole fence is gone, tree limbs everywhere, one of them landed on Chris's car (thankfully no damage), and one of our trees uprooted and landed on our neighbor's house.

We just got power back last night.

This whole experience has just been crazy. All of Conroe is projected to be restored by the 29th. I just hope they don't do the rolling blackouts like they did with Rita...

you know i slept through the entire thing. lol we stayed at my aunt's house in tomball, and the neighborhood had a lot of fence damage and tree damage too, nothing to the homes. i'm glad you guys have power now. i don't know if we have power yet. anyway i'm glad you guys are OK too. are your kiddos good?
