With my friend's recent brush with HIV, I was a little shocked when a friend told me today that he does not go for regular HIV tests even though he is sexually very active. In fact he does not even remember the last time he went for a HIV test.  "I am VERY safe one!  I don't swallow"  He exclaims.  "Do you REALLY want to know if you are infected?

I mock the part of gay culture where the best activism can come up with is "another gay party". It's all very pageant activism - ie. "I wanna bring world peace by becoming Ms Universe."

It's all very disappointing the way the gay community is going...
